Pike

The Northern Pike is a species of carnivorous fish of the genus Esox (the pikes). It inhabits almost every freshwater in the world and also the coastal areas of seas. It has got the features of typical predator, its shape and colouring are very characteristic for this species. The Pike feeds water animals, especially fish. It is very sports fish. Due to it the Pike is highly valued by many anglers. This fish is very sensitive and reacts negative on the changes in the natural environment. It causes that the population of the Pikes in our seas, rivers and lakes becomes smaller and smaller.
